Package: gdb
Version: 7.0.1-2+b1
Severity: normal

GDB isn't compiled with PIE support in squeeze, but Apache is
compiled with PIE. This makes debugging apache impossible.

Apache's justification is that GDB does support PIE, see:

http://packages.debian.org/changelogs/pool/main/a/apache2/apache2_2.2.16-4/changelog

apache2 (2.2.15-6) unstable; urgency=low

   * Build as PIE, since gdb in squeeze now supports it.

This inconsistency should either be a bug against apache, or a bug
against gdb. I've chosen you, because the way forward is fixing it :)
