Package: libflite1 Version: 1.4-release-2 Severity: important I just received the update of speech-dispatcher 0.7-6 in Debian Squeeze. Yay, flite module now works! However, there is a nasty issue when using flite in speech-dispatcher. The last second of so of text-to-speech gets chopped off, and I can't hear the end of what the voice is saying.
My complete /etc/speech-dispatcher/speechd.conf looks like this: LogLevel 3 LogDir "default" DefaultVolume 100 AudioOutputMethod "alsa" AddModule "flite" "sd_flite" "flite.conf" AddModule "dummy" "sd_dummy" "" DefaultModule flite Include "/etc/speech-dispatcher/clients/*.conf" Include "clients/*.conf" To reproduce, /etc/init.d/speech-dispatcher start then spd-say "testing" it will sound like "test" instead of "testing". -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages libflite1 depends on: ii libasound2 1.0.23-2.1 shared library for ALSA applicatio ii libc6 2.11.2-7 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib libflite1 recommends no packages.
