Just wanted to add a note here: I'm seeing a related problem here on squeeze. When going into suspend to disk, I cannot see the suspend process console output while hibernating or resuming. Its just plain dark for (hopefully) 30 seconds, then switches off. After resuming however, moving the mouse will return the screen to normal and shows the password prompt.
I've been searching a lot on how to enable the console output until I suddenly realized that there were very dark traces of console text visible. Actually, if I move the mouse right after entering hibernate, the fade gets interrupted and I can read the console output, both on hibernating and on resuming. I haven't tried newer pm-utils yet. Any chance that more fixes will go into squeeze? Is there a way to set gamma for a framebuffer device? If so, I could try setting gamma myself, using a hibernate hook script. Intel 855GM, KMS enabled, gnome-screensaver 2.30.0-2, pm-utils 1.3.0-3. Cheers, Udo -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
