This is demonstrated by using the BIOS network install in the CMOS. The router established an address, and the machine read it. But the LINUX installation was not able to use DHCP, could not establish an address with the router DHCP and could not then access the internet to continue the installation. This machine has used an earlier version of Debian 5.0 and did just fine with using DHCP. I did try loading a package that may have had an ethernet card driver (e100), but was unsuccessful. Unable to determine the problem, unsuccessful at loading Debian 6.0 Beta. Still trying to find the problem. No error messages in the installation except unable able to access any download sites (mirrors). -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
