This looks identical to bug 581999, fixed by: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~chasedouglas/rinput/debian/revision/85 If I had to guess, I'd bet $DEBIAN_FRONTEND is set to something other than "noninteractive" in your testing. Can you determine what it is set to? Maybe it's set to "Noninteractive" and I just need to do a case insensitive comparison?
