On disk size:
apt:      < 1M
aptitude: >15M

Have you checked memory footprint on running system?  I am guessing
aptitude is bigger but I do not have data to prove this.

The same goes with speed.  I wish to have concrete data though...

This is something I will certainly consider for post-squeeze.  (I do not
feel like breaking translation for this trivial and obvious point.)
