Quoting Christian Kastner <deb...@kvr.at>:
Do you have any jobs that generate output and mail it? If yes, please
monitor and see if anything weird happens -- specifically, if you don't
get any output mailed at all.
None that I was running regularly. But, I whipped this up for the occasion:
19 13 * * * /bin/ps a | \
/usr/bin/mail -s "test from cron" jwin...@rjsystems.nl
If this is what you meant, then I'm happy to report that it executed
without any errors for both the 32-bit and the 64-bit versions. If
it's not what you meant, then please explain and I'll run the tests
again.
The current fix /should/ be OK, but it isn't 100% clean, and therefore I
hesitate to push it yet. I'll see that I get around to validating it or
implementing a better fix RSN.
In that case I look forward to the official release, but will quietly
run this patched version for the time being. :-)
Cheers,
Jaap
