Ok, this is all good. > And while I have downgraded now (to test), before I had all the > packages at their testing version (0.12.5+dfsg-2 and 0.12.5+dfsg-4); > then did an upgrade to experimental (but somehow forgot to also > upgrade qemu-kvm). aptitude didn't complain, since there is no > versioned dependencies for this case between qemu-kvm and the other > qemu packages (to also force qemu-kvm to be upgraded). > > So shouldn't only a versioned breaks or depends fix this? Or it should > works, even with qemu-kvm at a lower version? Now when I re-read your original bugreport, I see it's mis-filed (not your problem, it's confusing enough). So I'm reassigning the bug appropriately. As I mentioned already, qemu-kvm-0.12 uses its own version of bios, which is in its private directory /usr/share/kvm/. The above listing confirms this. 0.13 version also uses its own version still, and I'm considering switching to seabios package. So, what we learn from this is that qemu-kvm-0.12 fails with your mona.iso, while 0.13 works. Let's see, I'll post a update to this later. /mjt -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org
