Daniel, I've been updating muse in Ubuntu for the 2 last upstream muse version (1.0.1 and 1.1 is on his way as soon as I'm able to fix linkage errors with --as-needed): we can work together to update the Debian's package.
You can have a preview of what I'm going to upload to natty in my ppa (https://launchpad.net/~fabricesp/+archive/experimental/+packages(. You can check the mversion for Maverick (I'm going to be more verbose for the upload). What do you think about it? If you are not interested anymore in muse, please orphan it so that another maintainer can take over this package.
