Package: qemu-kvm
Version: 0.12.5+dfsg-4
Severity: important

How to reproduce:
 * setup a guest using virtio
 * install squeeze in the guest (d-i beta1)
 * install grub2 on /dev/vda
 * reboot
→ the guest will not boot.

As explained here, it’s a problem with SeaBios:
http://www.spinics.net/lists/kvm/msg39932.html

I built a seabios from git and indeed the guest boots with no
modification, just by passing the correct -bios option.

I find it a serious hindrance not being able to use a squeeze guest in a
squeeze host - after all this should be a very common setup.

Cheers,
