Subject: gearman-server: Server hangs when job is submitted Package: gearman-server Version: 1.09-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
*** Please type your report below this line *** After installing, I tried to submit a simple job via python's gearman interface. The server was started with --debug=1 and clients/workers could connect (when the server is killed with running workers, the disconnect is reported). After submitting a job, client just waits for answer, the worker doesn't report anything and the server prints out only: Error: Can't locate object method "CMD_" via package "Gearman::Server::Client" at /usr/share/perl5/Gearman/Server/Client.pm line 407. I couldn't get any job to work at all, or any valid response, so I'm submitting this as unusable package. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.5 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages gearman-server depends on: ii libdanga-socket-perl 1.59-1 event loop and event-driven async ii libgearman-client-perl 1.09-1 Client for gearman distributed job ii perl 5.10.0-19lenny2 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction gearman-server recommends no packages. gearman-server suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
