If you upgrade moodle it attempts to recreate two symlinks that already exists and the installation fails because ln returns an error. The two links are: /usr/share/moodle/lib/smarty/libs /usr/share/moodle/lib/yui/yui Workaround is to delete those two symlinks prior to the upgrade.
