Package: alsa-utils Version: 1.0.23-3 Severity: normal Tags: upstream
On MacBook5,2 models, the audio is audible but *very* tinny and quiet. It turns out that the "LFE" channel (Low Frequency Enhancement?) needs to be on and set to a reasonable volume as well, in order to have a "normal" sounding audio. Please add: unmute_and_set_level "LFE" "80%" to sanify_levels_on_card in /etc/init.d/alsa-utils.
