Package: transmageddon Version: 0.16-1 Severity: normal I just started using transmageddon on a file named VTS_01_1.VOB.
It appears to have created the output file as: ~/Videos/VTS_01_1-114350-09112010.ogg the last two fields appear to be time and date, respectively, but in a bizarre format. If a program is going to include datestamps, please use a standard format like ISO 8601: https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/ISO_8601 Using this structure, the above filename should instead be: ~/Videos/VTS_01_1-20100911-114350.ogg I note also that the timestamp recorded is local time (not UTC) but the TZ is not itself encoded in the stamp. This seems like it might be confusing for people using remote systems in different timezones. --dkg -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages transmageddon depends on: ii gstreamer0.10-plugins 0.10.19-2+b2 GStreamer plugins from the "bad" s ii gstreamer0.10-plugins 0.10.30-1 GStreamer plugins from the "base" ii gstreamer0.10-plugins 0.10.24-1 GStreamer plugins from the "good" ii gstreamer0.10-plugins 0.10.15-1 GStreamer plugins from the "ugly" ii python 2.6.6-3+squeeze1 interactive high-level object-orie ii python-gobject 2.21.4+is.2.21.3-1 Python bindings for the GObject li ii python-gst0.10 0.10.19-1 generic media-playing framework (P ii python-gtk2 2.17.0-4 Python bindings for the GTK+ widge ii python-support 1.0.10 automated rebuilding support for P Versions of packages transmageddon recommends: ii gnome-codec-install 0.4.7 GStreamer codec installer Versions of packages transmageddon suggests: ii gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg 0.10.10-1 FFmpeg plugin for GStreamer -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
