Yes, this is exactly what I am suggesting: not to change the current choice not to install it setuid in the Debian package, but add documention to explain how to setuid it. To clarify it: * current situation: not installed setuid, ping feature not functional, no documentation about it; * my suggestion: not installed setuid either, documentation about how to setuid it to enable the ping feature. -- Tanguy Ortolo
