Package: memtest86 Version: 3.5-2.2 (testing) I've tried Memtest-86 on two Asus EEE PC 701 4G's with 2GB RAM chips and I consistently get an error almost exactly like the one above one (it starts at 26% of test 2 rather than 17%).
Memtest86+ 4.10 reports no errors at all, one of the chips has been tested in another machine, and the netbooks are working fine.
