You are right but the situation is worse than you assumed. ATM I can not find any OOT module source supposed to be built on kFreeBSD. Even your virtualbox-ose-guest-dkms, if you look at the source then you will see that it requires Linux kernel build system for its build process. I am downgrading the severity for now, because if you consider this problem serious than you need to open dozens of similar bug reports against each source package. Which would hardly be a helpful action ATM. If you show me a few sane repro cases to work on then that decission will be reconsidered, of course.
