Iso images are often compressed using bzip2 or gzip2 (without tar). Many times it do not compress well, but each byte is crucial when distributing such big files, so it is common to see compressed iso images. (most linux distro do not do this, becuase packages are already compressed well). I.e. I wanted to burn dragonfly 2.8.2 and it is distributed as iso.bz2. Why I need to extract iso from it, if I could perform this on the fly. It would be usefull to have direct bz2 (and possibly other formats) read support in brasero. (Only problem I see is size estimation of, but this can be easly calculated from iso metadata right?)
