It happens to me, at two different debian installations (one i386 and one amd64): I close icedove window (hitting close button up-right), the window closes indeed, but pretty frequently the icedove processes continue to run for at least 10 seconds before they terminate (sometimes they don't ever terminate and i must issue 'kill pid'...). This causes a serious inconvienience: after I close the icedove window, I put the box into sleep state. If the icedove processes have not terminated (which I cannot know...), then after waking the box, these processes remain frozen and again I have to issue kill pid, or else running icedove gives the message 'icedove is already running'.
