Hi, in the default configuration of dspam, if daemon gets enabled, the daemon wants to listen on tcp port 24. Starting dspam per default as user dspam then will just not work. Linux prevents direct “reserved port” assignments by any process other than system root.
So you either let it run by root or fix the default port for this application. Interim-Solution: fix the init-script to blow up if user tries this.
