Michal, FWIW, Cyril seems to refer to your version (7.9.0+git20100903.a5fd0396-0ubuntu0sarvatt) while you refer to the mesa version (7.9). Perhaps you should fill a bug report against a valid debian version (e.g. 7.8.2-2), where the wish actually applies.
