I happen to have tightvncserver installed, but I don't actually care
which one I use.  If I purge tightvncserver and install vnc4server, I no
longer see the problem.  Interesting.  So my immediate problem is
solved, but I still don't know whether the bug is with tightvncserver or
xrdp given that I don't have a problem when I just use a vnc client to
attach to tightvncserver.  But at least I have a usable xrdp
configuration now.  Thanks!

I'll leave it to your discretion as to whether to pursue this further or
whether to reassign or pass to upstream.

I've taken the liberty of retitling the bug and also changing the
