Hi All, I've hit this bug as well, and first found #522709 but clearly it is not the case since I was running 2.6.32 ... before checking for other bugreports in cowdancer (my fault) I decided to provide more information, wasted time trying to figure things out and then only found this ELDERLY bugreport... heh... changing umask from 077 to 022 resolved it for me as well.
