First of all excuse for my very bad english. I have the same error. I noticed that if error appears Rhythmox displays the sound informations, but in this case the sound informations aren't stored into .mp3 file. I think that Rhythmox has a proprietary database with sound informations.
I noticed that this error appears with mp3 files that hasn't ID3v1 or ID3v2 Tag informations. If I use "Audio Tag Tool" to create a ID3v1 or ID3v2 Tag informations, adding at least one information (i.e.: Artist) te really create the Tag informations, then the Rhythmox is able to save sound informations to mp3 file. In this case the sound informations are written to the mp3 file and are always available. My conclusion is that this error happens with mp3 files without ID3v1 or ID3v2 Tag informations, and rhythmbox (or a rhythmobx used library to store tag informations) is unable to create ID3v1 or ID3v2 Tag to store in it the sound informations.
