fwiw, the test suite shouldn't be bleeding the system of entropy anyway; i thought i'd enabled --quick-random for gpg in the tests, and the openssh/openssl business should be reading from /dev/urandom anyway. i'll look further into the tests when i have a chance to see if i can find where it's reading from /dev/random. thanks to everyone for the attention to this.
