Hi, I can confirm that reverting 4f8822 works fine. I reverted it and rebuilt the package and now I get a session that is marked as active and local after logging in with xdm. That's the same behavior I got with 0.4.1-4, but not with stock 0.4.2-1 (see #597937 for details).
I'd love to see 0.4.2-2 out with this patch. As far as I understand, it's not any more insecure than 0.4.1-4, which is the last version that wasn't broken.
