Package: mc
Version: 1:4.6.0-4.6.1-pre4-2
Severity: normal

Hello Stefano,

given the filename "1\3772" (as shown by "LC_ALL=C ls -b"), mc doesn't
correctly paste it to the command line. The character \377 disappears.

To reproduce:

touch `echo -ne "1\3772"`
mc
go to the file and press M-<RET>: "12" is pasted

I've tried this with various locales, the behavior doesn't seem to
depend on it.

Thanks in advance,
Baurzhan.
