For what it's worth:

 - Squeeze is not released yet.  It is still quite possible the
   default /bin/sh will be bash.

 - Which shell to use by default for new installations and for
   upgrades are separate decisions.

 - I would hope that administrators of affected installations
   would reconfigure /bin/sh to point to bash again (with
   "dpkg-reconfigure dash" or equivalent) if the other alternative
   seems likely to cause grief.  The change was not made out of
   masochism, you know.

 - Hopefully dash will be faster once the system is already booted,
   too. :)
