Package: python2.6
Version: 2.6.6-6
Severity: minor

When linux running with vm.overcommit_memory=2 (overcommit disabled), OOM state
could not happen.

In this case, it interactive python shell extinct every memory and was unable
to allocate memory for own needs it starts to print endlessly

MemoryError
no mem for new parser

I think in this situation it shall simply stop running (terminating or
freezing), but not looping in unbreakable loop (no Ctrl-C or Ctrl-Z works).
