Why not? There is a bunch of directories there, and only one of them is needed, depending on which locale is used, no? I have now manually removed on my system all directories there except C en_US.UTF-8 lib and let's see what will happen. I think the other files would never be used anyway. I use en_US.UTF-8 locale.
