If a split should be done, I believe these are better packaging names: * openvpn package instead of proposed 'openvpn-core' that contains only the 'openvpn' binary; * openvpn-server package which will depend on 'openvpn' to contain all the other stuff, most important being the script from /etc/init.d. Obviously this will require a transition which is not appropriate at this time, thus a decision will have to be postponed after squeeze release. The example with mysql-server is not close to this package because mysql-server is only for server operation while 'openvpn' binary operates both in client and server mode.
