Hi, This sounds suspect to me, almost bogus. The fact that it might not work from the key-binding screams FAQ entry #0.1 at me [1]. Now, this also applies to the mouse -- and for that you should check your ~/.xsession-errors file additionally, to see if there's any indication in there as to why it doesn't work.
I recently added one tiny bug fix to FvwmIdent, but that was before the version you're referring to, Vincent, so at this point (given the bug fix I'm referring to is already in the version you claim now works), this definitely looks like #0.1 to me. :) Unless you can get me a backtrace from a corefile, I'm dropping this one on the floor.
