I guess the default rsyslog compatibility mode for 4.6.4 would be version 4. And that's also the -c<n> that rsyslogd on squeeze starts with. So far so good. However, the manpage says: | Please note that rsyslogd issues warning messages if the -c3 command | line option is not given. which appears to be wrong. The other statements in that paragraph also seem to indicate to me that v3 is the best thing, when that probably no longer is true.
