Package: autofs5
Version: 5.0.3-3
Severity: wishlist

Hi

Under automounter of Solaris one can do Variable substitution like

/usr/$HOST -null

in /etc/auto_master.

According to autofs(5) manpage, Variable substitution is too
implemented for map files.

This however does not seem to work here doing in /etc/auto.master.
I tried:

/usr/$HOST -null

or

/usr/${HOST} -null

but none of them worked here.

(Am I'm doing something wrong? If yes, please feel free to mark this
Bugreport as invalid, and close it).

The reason I would like to have this is to ship the same
/etc/auto.master via config managment to different hosts, but not
automount /usr/$HOST on $HOST.

Thank you for maintaining autofs5 in Debian!

Bests
Salvatore
