If a .sch file has the wrong permissions, save operations fail but not very obviously. (I think it turns up in the log - but not as, say, a popup). The program does keep track of this, and prompts you to save before exitting, but if you haven't seen the log message, this is confusing. In general, when a log message indicates a serious failure, can it be a popup? cheers, Rich. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.4.31 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages geda-gschem depends on: ii geda-symbols 20050313-1 Symbols for GNU EDA -- Electronics ii guile-1.6-libs 1.6.7-1 Main Guile libraries ii libatk1.0-0 1.10.1-2 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgdgeda6 2.0.15-3 GNU EDA -- Electronics design soft ii libgeda20 [libgeda-23] 20050313-1 GNU EDA -- Electronics design soft ii libglib2.0-0 2.6.5-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.6.8-1 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libguile-ltdl-1 1.6.7-1 Guile's patched version of libtool ii libice6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libpango1.0-0 1.8.2-1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libpng12-0 1.2.8rel-1 PNG library - runtime ii libqthreads-12 1.6.7-1 QuickThreads library for Guile ii libsm6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14 X Window System Session Management ii libstroke0 0.5.1-4 support for mouse strokes like tho ii libx11-6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14 X Window System protocol client li ii xlibs 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14 X Keyboard Extension (XKB) configu ii zlib1g 1:1.2.2-4 compression library - runtime geda-gschem recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
