Package: bugzilla3 Version: 3.4.7.0-2 My previous Bugzilla installation used version 3.2.0.1-1 of the bugzilla3 package. I am on testing and trying to upgrade to the now current package version 3.4.7.0-2. The upgrade fails for no obvious reason, however.
Below you find the output of the upgrade process: The last message before the error is reported is related to upgrading the DB to UTF-8, I am not sure however if this is the actual reason for the failure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Patrick ------------ Setting up bugzilla3 (3.4.7.0-2) ... Installing new version of config file /etc/bugzilla3/index.html ... WARNING: We are about to convert your table storage format to UTF8. This allows Bugzilla to correctly store and sort international characters. However, if you have any non-UTF-8 data in your database, it ***WILL BE DELETED*** by this process. So, before you continue with checksetup.pl, if you have any non-UTF-8 data (or even if you're not sure) you should press Ctrl-C now to interrupt checksetup.pl, and run contrib/recode.pl to make all the data in your database into UTF-8. You should also back up your database before continuing. This will affect every single table in the database, even non-Bugzilla tables. If you ever used a version of Bugzilla before 2.22, we STRONGLY recommend that you stop checksetup.pl NOW and run contrib/recode.pl. Re-run checksetup.pl in interactive mode (without an 'answers' file) to continue. dpkg: error processing bugzilla3 (--configure): subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1 Errors were encountered while processing: bugzilla3 Press return to continue. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
