Package: dvipng Version: 1.13-1 Severity: normal I get this message when processing a DVI and then, e.g., pictures do not show up in the output. Ghostscript definitely supports pngalpha, in fact the command line shown in -d 256 output works:
gs -sDEVICE=pngalpha -r100x100 -dBATCH -dNOPAUSE -q -sOutputFile=- -dTextAlphaBits=4 -dGraphicsAlphaBits=4 -dSAFER - if I feed that PostScript, I get PNG. The only clue I see is with -d -1, which shows a bunch of: GPL Ghostscript 8.71: Unrecoverable error, exit code 1 in the output.
