So far as I can see, the packages in both testing and unstable have an explicit run-time dependency on python2.5, despite the build-dependency change, so I'm not sure why it qualifies for an unblock, looking at the debdiff. The changelog is also a little confusing, moving from July 2010 to October 2009 and back to September 2010.
