It would be nice to ship software which is "obsolete" (in the sense of not supported, at least) by much more than a year when Squeeze is released. Given the policies about freezes I agree that it will be difficult to get them accepted in Squeeze, but nevertheless I think that it's worth trying, specially if it fixes several bug reports. Anyway, it would be nice to have it in unstable, so other packages depending on it can be upgraded as soon as possible. Cheers and thanks for your quick reply. -- Manuel A.
