Package: dovecot-imapd
Version: 0.99.20050712-2
Severity: important

Installing dovecot-imap and configuring the server to listen to imaps
will nor render the package usable:

syslog:Aug 19 11:36:52 localhost dovecot: imap-login: Login: data [127.0.0.1]
syslog:Aug 19 11:36:53 localhost dovecot: IMAP(data):
open(/var/mail/.temp.carter.17301.dd6eee3bd2997105) failed: Permission denied
syslog:Aug 19 11:36:53 localhost dovecot: IMAP(data): file_lock_dotlock()
failed with mbox file /var/mail/data: Permission denied

I believe the problem is that the dovecot user is not included in the
mail group.

Perhaps the config scripts should add the user to the default mail group
that Debian ships with, that is, "mail"?
