Would have tried to fix it myself (patch --> upstream), but saw that Debian had some activity at #570662. Checked Debian source files, couldn't find all too much overly useful stuff (read: NONE). Bit wondering why buildd status page advertises mipsel as "installed", though, since Git did fail for me at __NR_perf_event_open. Config deviations?? Ping? Suitable CC's added.
