We would need a versioned Conflicts on packages in config-files-remaining state. As this is not supported in dpkg, we would have to emulate it in the preinst of libgl*-nvidia-alternatives* which is likely to break other things (regular upgrades?) in weird ways. Adding NEWS entries to the libgl*-nvidia-alternatives* packages might confuse users as well. Eventually adding a NEWS entry to the nvidia-glx-legacy-ABCxx packages would work best. Doing a preinst check there might be too late already. Andreas -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
