With fglrx 10-9-1 the issues are mostly fixed (or workarounded?). I
didn't get any screen regressions anymore.
The only new bug I get about this is #597378 ("[fglrx] wrong colors
(pink instead of blue, green instead of orange) in some images of
XULRunner applications (Iceweasel, Icedove)"), but I am still waiting on
more input.
So maybe we do not need it at all with the Squeeze release. :)
I have also forwarded it to the bugreporter, so please also try out the
enviroment override.
