-daemonize does not exist in older versions of kvm. But setsid may be 
a usable alternative.

It breaks existing functionality (i.e. existing wrapper scripts). And 
it is not that easy to debug and not mentioned in the changelog, so 
the severity is appropriate IMNSHO.
