Looks like this problem would happen if you have both a /var/run/sudo and a /var/lib/sudo. That shouldn't happen to someone doing an upgrade across stable version boundaries, but is highly likely for anyone who has been staying current on their sudo version. [sigh] I'll try another approach to moving the files that's less fragile. Bdale
