Package: libicu44
Version: 4.4.1-6

Using Debian squeeze, we are trying to install third-party packages
that depend on libicu42. It seems that in squeeze this package has
been removed, and libicu44 substituted. Surely if v4.4 is upwards
compatible with v4.2, it should have kept the same package name; and
if it is not, then the old libicu42 package should still be supported?
I don't see how simply removing a package because an incompatible
newer version has become available can be right.

Suggested fix: reinstate the libicu42 package, which wasn't hurting anyone.

(I won't bother sending the kernel version and other such details, as
they are not relevant.)
