Switching seems to have worked O.K., so the log does not help much
with the symbolic link feature.
I reapplied the verbose version of the symlink procedure that I had
posted for testing to the current wrapper script. Please run it in the
place of
/usr/sbin/usb_modeswitch_dispatcher.
If the symlink rule in the rules file is working, you get a log for
every interface in /var/log which should look like these examples:
