Yesterday I was finally able to run a quick test but transcoding failed with a GStreamer "tunnel connection or something" error I wasn't quick enough to note down. I'll see when I'm able to test it again more quietly. However, I udpated my Nokia 770 from OS2006 to OS2007 Hacker Edition, so this bug's conditions to check whether transcoded movies work may no longer hold. I'll report as soon as I do the test.
