Thanks. I've been on vacation (db.debian.org will tell you when developers are available). I will take a look at this tomorrow. Debian is currently in freeze: Therefore the version of bup in the next stable release of Debian will be 0.14a-2, unless a release critical bug is discovered in that version. I will prepare and upload packages of 0.17 to Debian "experimental", however.
