Package: krfb Version: 4:4.4.5-1 Severity: important When connected to a system running krfb, pressing the shift key on a viewing/client system does not work as expected.
Pressed in conjunction with nearly all keys, the shift key is ignored. The exceptions appear to be the 9 (nine) 0 (zero) and , (comma) keys. I've tested this using VNC clients running on both Windows XP and Debian systems. The results are the same. Without a functioning shift key, usability is seriously affected, hence "important" rating. This bug sounds identical to KDE Bug 182073: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=182073 Can someone verify this? If so, there is a patch already available. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages krfb depends on: ii kdebase-runtime 4:4.4.5-1 runtime components from the offici ii libc6 2.11.2-2 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libkdecore5 4:4.4.5-1 the KDE Platform Core Library ii libkdeui5 4:4.4.5-1 the KDE Platform User Interface Li ii libkdnssd4 4:4.4.5-1 the DNS-SD Protocol Library for th ii libqt4-network 4:4.6.3-1 Qt 4 network module ii libqtcore4 4:4.6.3-1 Qt 4 core module ii libqtgui4 4:4.6.3-1 Qt 4 GUI module ii libstdc++6 4.4.4-8 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libvncserver0 0.9.7-2 API to write one's own vnc server ii libx11-6 2:1.3.3-3 X11 client-side library ii libxdamage1 1:1.1.3-1 X11 damaged region extension libra ii libxext6 2:1.1.2-1 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxtst6 2:1.1.0-3 X11 Testing -- Record extension li krfb recommends no packages.
